Brilliant Trees Media is committed to helping deliver an environmentally sustainable media production industry. We seek to better understand and manage our impact, implementing initiatives to act on our opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
Our impacts are:
Use of travel, electricity, props and one-use materials for set construction contributes to a less
sustainable production.
Our potential to make a difference both off and on-screen :
Liaising with all stakeholders such as office staff, crew, cast, suppliers, sub-contractors, studios, to ensure all have a green policy in place and are active in measuring and limiting their environmental impact.
Educating audiences through our content, using various platforms to raise awareness and inspire sustainable behaviors that contribute to more environmentally informed eco-conscious choices.
Continuously reviewing our operations to ensure we are at the forefront of sustainability in Media Production.
Our actions:
Requesting sustainability policies / green policies from all suppliers / stakeholders
Offering sustainability training to our stakeholders through BAFTA Albert’s free Carbon Literacy industry training scheme.
Ensure that all of our productions comply with relevant environmental legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
Follow best practices for sustainable production by procuring sustainable goods and services.
Ensure all productions whether required by the broadcaster or not complete Albert to measure their environmental impact.
Committed to showcasing sustainability best practices through impactful storytelling and visuals, integrating environmentally conscious themes and actions into on-screen narratives to inspire positive change and educate audiences.
Dedicated to implementing sustainability best practices on set and on location, including the use of refillable water bottles, minimising food waste, and adopting eco-friendly practices to reduce our environmental footprint.
Strive for sustainable office practices by minimising printing, promoting digital workflows, and supporting remote work options to reduce carbon emissions and lessen our environmental impact.
